The slides were well designed, with good use of gifs. Reference to representation theory, such as Medhurst and Dyer. You explored wider contexts by referring to issues and debates such as youth alienation and psychological issues amongst youngsters. Good reference to Netflix and other texts. You also linked it to new and digital media/ social media. The presentation also covers audience demographics and pleasures. You had a very good conclusion, with reference to your own views. Overall, it was a very methodical approach. EBI: You could have included more background context, and expressed your own views (critical autonomy) on wider issues and debates. To link all my productions together I've decided to come up with my own brand - a youth mental health organisation. For my two video productions the brand will appear on the info card that the teddy bear is holding. For my print production (billboard), my brand will appear in the corner of the billboard. Brand  Youth Mental Health Society. Slogan- Speak to Somebody.

Critical Autonomy Task

How far does Beyonce's visual album Lemonade promote the views and values of Black Feminism? Word Count: 495 Black Feminism is a term referring to the empowerment of Black women, as a result of the oppression they have faced throughout the years. It first gained popularity in the 1960s, during the Civil Rights Movement in response to the sexism and racism they had faced. In today's society this term still remains relevant as certain inequalities are still being experienced by this particular demographic. In relation to this, Crenshaw's ''theory of intersectionality'' highlights the difficulties that black women face: since they experience race, class, and gender oppression simultaneously  if it quite difficult for them to differentiate between them.
